To Split a Polygon

  1. Select the Split Polygon tool from the Topology Creation tool palette.
  2. Identify the polygon to be split and accept.
  3. Draw a line indicating where the polygon should be split. This line can have multiple vertices.
  4. Reset to finish placing the line.
  5. Any existing annotation will be deleted and the polygon will be split.
